A little departure from the regular tobacco cards was taken when B18 blankets were produced in 1914. In many instances, the 5 1/4" square flannels were sewn together to make a full-size blanket. Many variations can be found within the set. MEARS is pleased to have unearthed a few of the prized offerings from that ever popular issue.
And now we present the most popular of the B18 blankets - Shoeless Joe Jackson. This was issued about five years before Jackson's big league career would come to an abrupt end. The Jackson issue has minor toning on the white infield and is the yellow pennant version. Conservatively, we grade this at EX/MT.
