During the early 1990s, “Neon” Deion Sanders was the most exciting player in all of professional sports. Moving from the Yankees, Sanders joined the Atlanta Braves for the 1991 season and remained with the team through 1994. In 1992, Sanders had a career high 14 homeruns, which corresponds with the dating of this bat.
Supplied by Louisville Slugger, DEION SANDERS is factory stamped on the barrel. Weighing 32 ounces and measuring 35”, this bat is consistent with Sanders factory records from the era.
Having heavy use in the form of ball marks, deep stitch marks, and a 6” handle crack, the black bat with silver stampings is a trophy to be desired. Bat graded a solid MEARS A8. Matching factory records 5 base grade points were assigned, 3 points for heavy use, plus one for documented uniform number on knob, and minus 1 for the handle cracked added up to a MEARS A8.
