Offered are a pair of items paying tribute to the Indiana Hoosiers 1981 NCAA Championship basketball team. Highlighting the collection is a commemorative Spalding Top Flite 100 basketball with "1981 NCAA Finals" stamped on one of the orange panels while one of the two double white panels is painted with a team logo "I" along with "1981 NCAA Champions IU 67 LSU 49 IU 63 NC 50" in red. The second of the two double white panels has been signed in black marker by 19 players & coaches including Bobby Knight, Isiah Thomas, Jene Davis, Mike LaFave, James Thomas Jr., Clen Grunwald, Randy Wittman, Eric Kirchner, Gerry Gimelstob, Ted Kitchel, Jim Crews, Landon Turner, Steve Bouchie, Phil Isenbarger, Steve Risley, Tony Brown, Chuck Franz & Ray Tolbert. A wooden base accompanies the ball, which shows some cracking on the double white panels. Rounding out the collection is an 8" x 10" framed photo reading "Hoosiers of '81 National Collegiate Champions (26-9) Indiana Classic Champions Big Ten Champions" with facsimile signatures from those pictured.
