Offered for auction in this lot is a Willie Mays professional model Adirondack team index bat. The model number 282V is stamped on the knob with a signature barrel and the 1961-63 period Adirondack center label.

This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 33 ounces and measures 34.5" in length. The bat has a round barrel & regular knob and matches team index records. It exhibits heavy use with stitch marks, bat rack marks and a very small 1/2" handle crack. The number 7 is written on the knob which is attributed to Harvey Kuenn for the stated time period.
