Offered for auction in this lot is a Valmy Thomas professional model H&B Louisville Slugger. This Hillerich & Bradsby manufactured Louisville Slugger has its model number S2 stamped on the knob with a signature barrel and the H&B 1950-60 period center brand.
This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 30 ounces and measures 35" in length. The bat has a round barrel & regular knob and matches known player factory records. It exhibits heavy use with medium ball marks, stitch marks, bat rack marks and a 3" handle crack.
Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for use and loses 1 point for the handle crack and 1/2 point for the knob chip resulting in a final grade of MEARS A6.5.
