1995 Texas Rangers Team Signed Replacement Players OAL (Brown) Baseballs - 6 Cases, 70 Baseballs- MEARS LOA

Because the players and owners were squabbling over millions of dollars, the 1994 World Series was canceled. The impasse was finally ended March 29.

Before the sides hammered out a deal, rampant speculation ran that replacement players would be used if the real players could not sign a deal.

Offered are six cases of OAL (Brown) baseballs (70 by our count as one box is missing two baseballs) signed by the Texas Rangers potential replacement players. While most of the names don't ring a bell, most of the baseballs contain the signature of skipper Johnny Oates. Who knows, your local insurance agent may have signed one of these orbs.

"Replacement Players '95" is written on the box of most.
