These 78 full color player slides depicting some of the biggest stars in the 1981 American League were sent to various networks for production use. Each slide measures 2" x 2" and is numbered along with the player name, position and ball club printed on their white border. Original paperwork on official American League stationary is included which gives a full player listing and states, "The enclosed slides are to be used as supplements to the slide sets distributred to you in 1981...which sets you were instructed to retain at the end of the 1981 season."
Some of the players included in this set are Cal Ripken Jr., Jim Rice, Carl Yastrzemski, Reggie Jackson, Tony La Russa, Harold Baines, Carlton Fisk, Greg Luzinski, Kirk Gibson, Vida Blue, Kent Hrbek, Dave Righetti, Billy Martin, Rickey Henderson, Gaylord Perry, Don Zimmer and Charlie Hough. (X0106)
