We all know Marquette was known for its wild and zany styles during the Al McGuire era. The funkiness spilled into the 1980s as well.
While this #15 jersey never saw game action, it was created as a salesman's sample. #15 was worn by Butch Lee and nobody wore his number after his playing days were done. By the time Marquette wore this style of jersey, Lee was playing at the top level.
An interesting array of yellow and white striping decorates the sides and the numbers are created in single-color white. A Medalist Sand Knit tag is glue affixed in the tail with a suspended size indicator.
Style and substance combine forces with this interesting knit pullover.
