Part-time first baseman and catcher Brian Dorsett spent parts of 8 seasons in the big leagues. This particular bat, a 30-ounce, 34 1/2-inch signature model Louisville Slugger, was utilized by the utility player during either the 1993 or '94 seasons, in which he played 101 of his 163 career games.
The model number c243 appears on the barrel of the bat. It matches known factory records and exhibits signs of heavy game use with medium ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks, deadwood on the reverse of the barrel and light handle preparation. Dorsett's number 33 appears on the end of the barrel, and it appears (crossed out) on the knob along with "lose." (J0321)
Grade (MEARS A9): 5 points for matching factory records, 3 points for heavy game use, 1 point for documented uniform numbers. Collection of MEARS Staff.
