Baseball's central focus in 1961 was the New York Yankees as Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle battled for Babe Ruth's cherished home run mark.
When the dust had settled Maris was on top and the Yankees were World Series champions. This commemorative black bat was issued to a high-ranking Yankees official or worker as very few were created. Each player's name is foil stamped on the barrel as is "NEW YORK YANKEES WORLD CHAMPIONS 1961".
We would rate this as EX/MT with surface scratching and a few minor nicks throughout.
