Jim Collins was at the center of the action for some pretty imposing Los Angeles Rams defenses in the 1980s.
The two-time All Pro linebacker put great use into this helmet in 1985 (vintage determined from all four facemask clips were from 1985).
Great use is exhibited with gouges on the top of the helmet, mostly white marks. A lone transparent warning sticker is found on the reverse. Inner features includes: "50 Collins" blue dymo label, blue bladder system (green dot on top), white warning sticker and Velcro swatches on the back. Our guess is other pads were in here before the blue bladder system was installed.
Collins signed the front in black felt tip.
