2010 Alfonso Soriano Chicago Cubs Game Worn Batting Helmet Full Steiner Letter

Alfonso Soriano is an enigma. While the fans get upset with him from time to time, there are few players capable of dominating like the former 40/40 man can.

When Soriano is good, he is among the best the game has to offer. The lighting quick power hitter used this size "7 1/4" helmet during the 2010 season. There is a slight crack on the left ear hole, which probably signaled the end of the line for this headgear. The inner ear hole's cushion is pulling away in parts.

"7 1/4" is written on the inside in black marker. The reverse has a "12" decal and MLB sticker. The use is heavy with scratches on all angles, grass stains on the top and pine tar buildup on the tip and sides.

Also worth mentioning is the Cubs team emblem which is glue affixed to the front. This trait is unique to the Cubs. The top portion of "C" has some pine tar. We have viewed photos on Getty Images which seem to follow the same pattern. We have also included a Getty Image photo (104330324) which shows the top of the "C" Cubs emblem pulling away at the top.

Authentication is secure as a Cubs Steiner letter will attend. The hologram and letter share the same Steiner number (146721).
