2003 Alex Rodriguez Texas Rangers MVP Season Autographed Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS A9) w/Rodriguez LOA

Featured in this lot is an autographed Alex Rodriguez professional model Louisville Slugger game used bat from his final season with the Texas Rangers in 2003 which saw him named the American League Most Valuable Player. Model G174 is stamped on the signature model barrel. A-Rod has also signed the barrel in blue marker along with the inscription "2003 Game Used." An LOA signed by Rodriguez also accompanies the bat.

This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 31 ounces, measures 34" in length and matches known player factory records with a cupped barrel and regular knob. It exhibits signs of heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, bat rack marks, a medium application of pine tar and cracking on the barrel's factory finish. Handle remains uncracked.

Bat receives 5 points for matching known player factory records, 3 points for use, 2 points for provenance and loses 1 point for the cracking of the barrel surface resulting in a final grade of MEARS A9.
