Offered is a handmade baseball likely crafted by an aficionado of the budding National Pastime circa the mid to late 19th Century. Ball is constructed of two leather sections sewn together with figure eight style stitching and is slightly smaller than a customary baseball with a diameter of 2.5", a circumference of just over 8 inches and a weight of just over 4 ounces. Ball shows definite use yet remains in remarkable overall condition given its advanced age. (89R0249)
