Eric Davis was destined for greatness. He had all the attributes of the game's greats which even drew comparisons to the great Willie Mays.

But it wasn't quite meant to be as Davis suffered through a lacerated kidney in the 1990 World Series and even battled colon cancer during his big league journey. He still enjoyed a 17-year career and won a World Series ring and was one of the most popular players of his time.

From Davis' days in Baltimore is this 1998 gamer. Heavy use is shown with definite puckering on the three color tackle twill identifiers. Our guess is this was used for at least half of a season. "DAVIS" is instituted to a nameplate on back. An Orioles team patch is located on the left sleeve. Sewn in the tail is a Russell Athletic tag, fabric content flag tag, "2" Extra Length" designator and "1998" (computerized) label.

Davis signed the front in felt tip ink.

Also included are the matching pants worn by Davis. The inside includes these labels in the waistband: Russell Athletic size "34", fabric content curled tag, "24 Davis 34/36-33-98" computerized tag.
