Big John Tate was a one-time champion who was taken from the world far too soon. In 1998, Tate died as a result of a car accident.

This has left a shortage for the champs autographs. Offered is a white Everlast boxing glove (left hand) signed by Tate in blue felt tip. The penning spans the entire glove.

Gone but never forgotten is Big John, who was oh so close to that big Muhammad Ali payday fight. From Collection of MEARS Staff.
