Youngsters nationwide flocked to the ballpark to watch The Big Hurt hit tape measure home runs. This size "7 1/8" batting helmet mirrors what Thomas wore during his rookie year of 1990. The size matches Thomas' known hat sizes and the inner date wheel "Jan. 90" indicated are positives. "35" is markered on the inner cushion in faded black ink. A few surface scratches are visible on the navy exterior as well.
"35" is stickered on the reverse, which looks recent. We are offering this as a Frank Thomas model batting helmet, not a game used helmet.
