Lot #113:

1988 Darryl Strawberry New York Mets Autographed NLCS Rawlings Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS A10)

Offered for auction in this lot is a Darryl Strawberry professional model Rawlings game used bat issued for use with the New York Mets is the 1988 NLCS. Model 113A is stamped on the knob along with Darryl's uniform number 18 written in black marker while D. Strawberry and 1998 NLCS are stamped on the barrel of this Big Stick. Strawberry has also signed the barrel in blue marker. Despite the NLCS issuance there is no provenance provided as to whether this was in fact a bat used by Strawberry during the series.

This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 32 ounces, measures 35" in length and matches known player factory records with a round barrel and regular knob. It exhibits signs of moderate use with ball marks, stitch marks and bat rack marks. Handle remains uncracked.

Bat receives 5 points for matching known player factory records, 3 points for use and 2 points for the NLCS designation resulting in a final grade of MEARS A10.
