Known as a gold glove third baseman, George Brett began playing first base in 1988 and continued to 1992. Gloves are the most difficult item of game worn equipment to obtain. This glove was personally gifted by George Brett to an employee of the Chicago White Sox. Based on its condition and signs of moderate to heavy game wear, this glove so legitimate action while being worn by George Brett.
Manufactured by the Wilson company, this A2800 model is photographically documented as being worn by Brett during the era. “George Brett” is embroidered in blue stitching on the left thumb. A fine example of a late career game worn George Brett glove.
