While some teams like the Yankees and the Dodgers have a rich tradition of uniformity in their game day attire, the Chicago White Sox are found on the opposite end of the spectrum with their jerseys coming in a variety of colors and styles throughout the years. Following the 1981 season they decided it was time for another overhaul and wound up with a new design which would be used from 1982-86.

Offered here is a Tony LaRussa jersey which was most likely manufactured as a prototype during the process of changing designs. Medalist/Sand Knit size 42 and exclusive tags sewn to the tail of the jersey while "Sox", "10" and "LaRussa" are sewn directly to the jersey in single tackle twill. This particular jersey features two red stripes beneath the "Sox" on the front, whereas the final design settled on by the White Sox featured a single red stripe and no two-stripe design was ever implemented that we have been able to locate photographic evidence of. Some staining present. (60N0071)
