Steve Carlton could shut down the opposition like few before him. Blessed with the best slider of his time, Carlton won 300 games and is regarded as one of baseball's finest lefties.
These powder blue pants served Carlton during the 1981 season as the Phillies tried to defend their World Series title. Outstanding wear is shown on the knit pants with a few dirt marks. White/burgundy/white striping races down the sides. Secured in the waistline is a swatch reading "Carlton 81 1 27" and a period Wilson size "36" tag. Carlton signed the inside in black felt tip.
