1981-84 Darrell Porter St. Louis Cardinals Game Used Batting Helmet (MEARS Auction LOA)

Offered is a game used batting helmet of former St. Louis Cardinals player Darrell Porter that dates to the 1981-84 seasons. The helmet is manufactured by ABC and features a white number 15 decal on the back of the helmet. Also the helmet contains the pinwheel dating codes, however the arrow has broken off and we could not narrow down a year. The size of the helmet, 7 1/4 has been written on the crown padding in black marker and "Porter" has been applied to the brim of the helmet in red Dyno tape. Overall the helmet shows moderate wear with several patches of scrath marks along the outside of the helmet. There is also some soiling of the STL logo and reverse decals. Heavy sweat staining and soiling is also evident throughout the inside headband and padding as well. The helmet will be accompanied by a MEARS Auction LOA.
