Greatness always begins someplace, and for a Manager destined for enshrinement in Cooperstown it began on the south side of Chicago. This style of home jersey first splashed on the scene in 1982 during Tony LaRussa’s fourth year at the helm and would last in Comiskey Park as long as he did; both departing after the 1986 campaign. Jersey features correct period Sand-Knit tagging but is without any sort of year/size strip tag that is usually found in these jerseys. Tagged as a size 42, it actually measures just slightly smaller than this and this may be due to some shrinkage. Highly desirable among style collectors.
