Offered is a professional model Bill Almon game used Louisville Slugger dating to the label period encompassing his time with the Montreal Expos (1980), New York Mets (1980) and Chicago White Sox (1981-83). Model P72 stamped on barrel while number 6 is written on the knob in faded black marker. Almon did not wear number 6 during the 1980-83 seasons, though he did wear it with the San Diego Padres in 1979, indicating possible multi player use or that some bats with the new Louisville Slugger center brand in place of the previous Hillerich & Bradsby center brands were possibly shipped to players late in the 1979 season. Bat currently measures 34.5", weighs 32 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, grain swelling, pine tar and an 8" handle crack which has been taped to avoid separation.
