1979-82 Green Bay Packers Game Worn Jersey Attributed to Steve Wagner & Mike Jolly (Scott Waters/MEARS LOA)

This Green Bay Packers #21 jersey shows the rigors of an NFL season. Multiple repairs are featured on this classic mesh garment.

The labeling period of the game-battered jersey is 1976-82 but we have narrowed the vintage to 1979-82 because of the V-neck front and labeling period.

We attribute the use to either Steve Wagner or Mike Jolly. A higher likelihood is that Jolly wore this jersey as he was there for a longer portion of this labeling period Sand Knit tag/V-neck front.

Repairs pepper the shoulders and reverse. The Packers unmistakable green and white stripes adorn the sleeves. Sewn in the collar is a size "46" tag and "R" indicator while the tail houses a Packers exclusivity tag and size label - both glue affixed. "8" is written on the size label.

The nameplate has been replaced.

Employed by the Green Bay Packers from 1984-2000, Scott Waters had on field access for each game, and mingled along the sidelines with the players. Several candid photos document his presence on the field. This lot originated directly from the Scott Waters collection.
