Breaking onto the Major League scene in 1974, Yount excited the hometown crowd in Milwaukee only 4 years after the team had arrived from Seattle. At the time he played his first big league season in 1974, Yount was only 18, an age that barely is seen in the Big Leagues today. Yount played his entire career with the Brewers, finally retiring after the 1993 season. During his career, Yount became a member of the 3,000 Hit Club, 3142 hits to be exact, racked up 251 home runs, played in the All-Star Game on three occasions, and was named American League MVP during two seasons, 1982 and 1989. Yount's number 19 has been retired forever by the Milwaukee Brewers and is still a huge fan favorite in Milwaukee.

This is a 1976 Robin Yount Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat. The centerbrand of this bat combined with the model number being found on the knob dates this centerbrand period to 1973-75, but according to Louisville Slugger factory records, Yount did not order the K75 model bat with a regular end in 35" length until January of 1976. This bat currently weighs in at 32.5 ounces and measures 35 inches in length.

This bat exhibits heavy use with ball marks present primarily along the top and back of the barrel, resulting in a very light small layer of grain separation along the back of the barrel. This bat has a 12" H-style handle crack along the front of the handle, which runs into the centerbrand slightly, but does not affect it's visual appeal. A few deep dents are visible along each side of the barrel, some of which are very deep cleat marks. The knob of the bat appears slightly chipped on two sides of the knob. Cleat marks can be found on each side of the barrel in varying thickness and depth.

This bat grades out at the MEARS A6 grade with five points for the base grade, three points for heavy use, a one point deduction for the handle crack, a half point deduction for a few dents on the barrel, and a half point deduction for the slightly chipped knob.
