At first glance, this Wilson size 44 Brooks Robinson appears to be the real deal but the size 44 is too large as he wore size 42 from 1966-76 according to the MEARS data base. In addition, the strip tag on the front tail is not consistent with examples from 1976 which does not show them on the front and the style of chain stitching is not consistent either. This jersey appears to have been laundered and is autographed by Brooks on the front. While not a consistent game worn jersey, it is close enough for the collector that does not want to spend five figures.
