Lot #1225:

1974 Jack Snow Los Angeles Rams Game Worn Jersey w/ Huge Repair & Vinyl Letters

Jack Snow starred at the University of Notre Dame and enjoyed a fruitful 11-year career with the Los Angeles Rams. Snow provided Roman Gabriel a deep threat who could stretch a field. Offered is a jersey worn by the popular wideout in the 1974 season.

The vintage can be pinned to '74 because of the incorporated vinyl letters. No, that is not a typo, a team actually tried vinyl letters (front, reverse and shoulder) for a short time before abandoning the concept altogether. After a few launderings, the vinyl letters tended to crack.

This jersey features a gigantic repair, about 3 1/4", on the front "4". There are a few impact marks on the front "4" and a few minor stains. Interestingly, the NOB is heat pressed to an elongated nameplate. Sewn in the tail are three tags: Rams exclusivity, size "46" Sand Knit and Wm Fredricks Company manufacturer's tag.
