1973 Tom Toner Green Bay Packers Game Worn Jersey w/Numerous Repairs (Scott Waters/MEARS LOA)

There is use and there is this. This Tom Toner game worn jersey has been to hell and back given the number of repairs and added parts.

Toner had two stints with the Packers (1973 and 1975-77) and our guess is he wore it for both. Repairs pepper the shoulders, front and back of this mesh garment. All of the identifiers are screen printed and the nameplate has been removed.

An elongated V-neck front includes mesh reinforcement and the reverse was notched and then re-sewn. Diamond-shaped inserts are fitted under the arms.

Sewn in the tail is a Packers Sand Knit exclusivity tag (vintage writing) and size "52" Sand Knit size label.

Employed by the Green Bay Packers from 1984-2000, Scott Waters had on field access for each game, and mingled along the sidelines with the players. Several candid photos document his presence on the field. This lot originated directly from the Scott Waters collection.
