1973 Mike Schmidt Philadelphia Phillies Game Worn Quilted Satin Jacket (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Philadelphia Phillies quilted satin jacket dating to the outset of Mike Schmidt's career with the team circa 1973. Wilson size 46 tag sewn in collar with Schmidt's uniform number 20 written in vintage ink while a chenille embroidered team logo "P" is sewn to the left chest. Mike's uniform number 20 is also written in black marker on the inner snap tape. Heavy use shown with some staining present. Wilson tag dates to 1967-73, this the attribution to 1973. Additional COA from Hunt's Auction will also attend. Schmidt was #22 during his 1972 call up. He was issued his final number, 20, at the onset of the 1973 season, thus making this a true rookie era jacket. (78F0537)
