According to our consignor, this jersey was specifically prepared for Tarketon during the 1972 season. When speaking with the team equipment manager during the 1972 season, Tarketon was not in need of a replacement, so the jersey was never delivered to the team. The salesman took the jersey home, and never issued the jersey to the team. It has been in the possession of the consignor, (Actual Sand Knit rep) since 1972. Made to Tarkenton's exact specifications.

The diminutive Tarkenton created countless memories for Vikings and Giants fans through the years. This size "44" is correct for Fran and the Sand Knit tags date to the 1972 era. The numbers and sleeves are all heat pressed while "TARKENTON" is expressed across the back in single-color white tackle twill.

Dual Sand Knit tags are sewn in the tail - exclusivity Vikings and Sand Knit size. An everlasting reminder to Vikings fans from their glory days.
