Offered is a Spalding Official National League Charles Feeney baseball which was used during the New York Mets 4-2 victory over the Montreal Expos on April 6, 1971 at Shea Stadium. Hall of Fame Mets hurler Tom Seaver, who got the Opening Day assignment for the Mets and took home a rare 5 inning complete game victory with the contest called early due to inclement weather, has signed the sweet spot along with an "Open Day Game Ball @ Shea" inscription while "4.6.71" & "Mets 4 Expos 2" are also handwritten on the baseball.
