The Green Bay Packers donned their durene jerseys into the early '70s. We don't blame them given the success enjoyed in the cotton/nylon garments.
This size "44" jersey has possible attribution to two players who wore #22 in the early '70s - Elijah Pitts and John Staggers. The tagging style dates to the early '70s which makes it probable that Staggers or Pitts donned it.
Sewn in the collar is a size "44" label which was a constant in 1960s and early '70 Packers gamers. All of the numbers are created in single-color white tackle twill. Embedded yellow/green/white sleeve striping accentuates the sleeve ends which are custom cut and hemmed.
The numbers show outstanding use with no abuse. Sewn in the tail is a Packers exclusivity tag and size "44" Sand Knit label.
While we can't pin down which #22 wore this jersey, it was most likely used for multiple seasons by the aforementioned players.
