1970s Ted Richards "The Whole Forty Year Old Hippie Catalog Cover" 12"x16" Black and White Original Illustration Artwork (MEARS LOA) One of a Kind!!!

San Francisco State University graduate Ted Richards is an accomplished pioneer of the comic industry. As an underground cartoonist, Richards was a member of the original "Air Pirates", a sought after comic illustrating adult Disney cartoons (they would eventually be sued by Disney for copyright infringement).

After his years working on Air Pirates and during college, Richards developed the character "The 40 Year Old Hippie" that was featured in several periodicals as well as its own comic, published by Rip Off Press. This character proved to be his most successful and is a coveted piece of comic history.

This lot offers the ORIGINAL cover artwork for The Whole Forty Year Old Hippie Catalog. The black and white masterpiece has never been sold or auctioned until now, and you could be the first to own this incredible artwork. The piece measures 12"x16" and is in impeccable condition.
