The brainchild of Chicago scribe Arch Ward, the College All Star Game began in 1934 and ran through the 1970s. Each year the previous NFL champion was pitted against college football's best as an exhibition contest.
We have whittled down the vintage of this durene pullover from 1969-70 because of the lack of shoulder numbers and side striping and we consulted the MEARS database which helped date the Wilson tag (1967-72).
"19" is expressed on both sides in single-color white tackle twill while red stars adorn the shoulder region on both sides.
The offered garment shows great one-game use with hit marks on the reverse. A lone Wilson tag if found in the tail.
Style and substance, this wonderfully constructed College All-Star Game jersey is bursting with both.
