1968-70 Eddie Mathews Adirondack Professional Model Team Index Bat (MEARS A7)

Offered for sale is a circa 1968-70 Eddie Mathews signature model Adirondak team index bat. The 311C model was used by Mathews during his career. The bat measures 33" in length, which was not consistent with the 34" and 35" most commonly found in Mathew's personal bat records. The bat currently weighs 30.8 ounces.

Although not confirmed to have been used by Mathews, the bat does have heavy game use, deep stitch marks, and a 2" handle crack. Reverse has two mounting holes from its previous display. The Milwaukee Braves team index records show Mathews model bats being sent to the team on 11-6-57, with no listing of model, length, or weight. Mathews has signed the barrel of the bat
