Swoboda came up as a rookie with the Mets in 1965. This bat dates to his sophmore and junior seasons with the Mets just prior to his big come out for the Miracle Mets in 1969. Ron got half of his RBI's for the 1969 season during the last five weeks and even got two homers against Carlton the night he struck out 19. In the ninth inning of the World Series in game four, Ron made a diving catch for Brooks Robinsons line drive that saved the game for the Mets. One of the toughest to find of any key 1969 Mets member. This example is not only the highest Swoboda bat ever graded by MEARS, it is the only Swoboda bat ever graded or examined as well.
