1965 (Mar 22) Curly Lambeau Green Bay Packers Correspondence to Girlfriend on Personal Letterhead w/ Original Envelope (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a page of personal correspondence handwritten on E.L. "Curly" Lambeau letterhead which reads as follows...

"Buy your Father a quart (not a fifth) of Early Times. -and some gin and vermouth for you & Gertrude. Story. Two nuns walked across Central Park and were raped. One said - we will have to confess that we were raped. The other said - we should confess we were raped twice, we are going back the same way aren't we!"

Included with the page of correspondence is the original mailing envelope addressed to Curly's girlfriend Mary Jane Van Duyse in Sturgeon Bay, WI with a Mar 22 1965 Palm Springs, Calif. postmark. Lambeau would die a few short months later while mowing Mary Jane's lawn. (81I0274)
