Offered for auction in this lot is a Syd O'Brien professional model H&B Louisville Slugger. This Hillerich & Bradsby manufactured Louisville Slugger has model number K55 imprinted on its knob with a signature barrel and the H&B 125 1965-68 period center brand.
This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 32 ounces and measures 35" in length. The bat has a round barrel & regular knob and matches known player factory records. It exhibits heavy use with medium ball marks, stitch marks, bat rack marks and a 6" piece of dead wood missing on the reverse of the barrel. The handle remains uncracked.
Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for use and loses 1 point for deadwood resulting in a final grade of MEARS A7.
