Offered is a Navy Midshipmen jersey dating to their historic 1963 matchup with their rival Army Mules. King O'Shea, Eddie Leonard Sporting Goods & size 46 tags sewn inside tail while number 67 is sewn to the front, back and sleeves of the golden durene jersey along with "N" & a series four stars sewn to each shoulder and "Drive for Five" sewn on the reverse in reference to Navy's attempt at a fifth consecutive victory over their Army adversaries. Lead by Roger Staubach, Navy would prevail 21-15 to complete their Drive for Five. Game was originally scheduled to be played November 30, 1963 but was postponed following the assassination of President & WWII Navy Veteran John F. Kennedy & subsequently rescheduled for December 7th at the behest of Jacqueline Kennedy. Light wear shown with a small hole on the reverse. (89R0289)
