Lot #411:

1962-70s Mrs. Cal Ripken Correspondence With Fan Including Cal Ripken Jr. References - Lot of 15

One Wisconsin fan had a very close relationship with the Ripken family through the years. This ardent fan received Christmas cards from the Ripken family. Cal and Violet even refer to their kids as the Ripets in these cards.

Offerd are nine Christmas cards, Atlantic City postcard, baby announcement for Frederick Charles and four letters written by Vi Ripken to her friend.

The letters describe Cal Sr. and the family and surroundings. Ah the life of a minor league family trying to get to the bigs. Well, the Ripken family made it to the bigs. These letters were written on their way to the top.
