Comments: Boyer enjoyed his career highlight against the New York Yankees in the 1964 World Series, hitting a grand slam in Game 4, to give the Cardinals a 4-3 victory. His brother Clete, was playing in his fifth consecutive Series with the Yankees. In Game 7, Ken got three hits (including a double and a home run), and scored three runs as St. Louis clinched the World Championship 7-5, their first title since 1946. Clete also homered in that game, the only time in World Series history that brothers have homered in the same game. Ken earned the 1964 National League MVP Award.
