Offered for auction in this lot is a Don Hoak professional model H&B Louisville Slugger. This Hillerich & Bradsby manufactured Louisville Slugger has its model number U1 stamped on the knob with a signature barrel and the H&B 125 1960-64 period center brand.
This natural finished ash bat currently weighs 33 ounces and measures 34" in length. The bat has a round barrel & flare knob and matches known player factory records. It exhibits heavy use with heavy ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks and a small 1" handle crack. The bat also has Hoak's #12 written on the knob in marker.
Bat receives 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for use and 1 point for a documented uniform number resulting in a final grade of MEARS A9.
