Considered by most the greatest pitching feat ever, this is one of the actual game used baseball from the May 26th, 1959 game at Milwaukee County Stadium.Examination of the Warren Giles Official National League baseball determines the ball is correct for the 1959 period per comparison to the images in the book, “Official National League Baseball Guide” by Brandon Grunbaum. The physical appearance of the ball is consistent with other game used baseballs from the period that have been examined by MEARS. The side panel is simple signed, “Harvey Haddix”.

The ball originated from the collection of Dan Nero, and AP photographer. It was obtained by noted Milwaukee Collector and Physician Dr. Marc Lewis and is accompanied by his signed letter on his official stationary. Additional letter of authenticity from MEARS.
