Offered is a Rawlings professional model HH fielder's mitt dating to the final two years of Johnny Pesky's playing career with the Denver Bears & Durham Bulls circa 1955-56. Glove is constructed of Rawlings tanned cowhide bound with rawhide laces. The glove features a "V Anchored Web", "Snugger Adjustment" wrist strap and an "Adjustable Floating Heel". Heavy use shown with post player use also evident. Palm lacing is gone and the web lacing is stretched well beyond the limits of a glove used exclusively by a professional player. Also missing is the lacing from the thumb loop, pinky loop and the binding on the top of the pinky. The Rawlings wrist label is no longer present in full though evidence of its past presence remains. To the right of the label remnants is a number 6 written in faded black marker while "John Pesky 1949" is written on the pinky in much sharper black marker. Additional LOAs from PSA/DNA & Pesky's brother Vince will also attend. (82J0221)
