Offered is an AJ Reach Official American League William Harridge baseball which was hit by Hall of Fame slugger Ted Williams during the Boston Red Sox 5-3 victory over the Philadelphia Athletics on July 10, 1954 at Connie Mack Stadium. "To Wes From Pointy Hit by Ted Williams Boston Red Sox at Connie Mack Stadium on July 10, 1954" handwritten on side panel of baseball. Examination of the boxscore reveals that Williams was 2-3 with a double, a run batted in and two walks in five trips to the plate for the game. (73A0192)
