1952 (September 19) Chicago Cubs St. Louis Cardinals ONL Giles Wrigley Field Game Used Baseball (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Spalding Official National League Warren Giles baseball which was used during the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs on September 19, 1952 at Wrigley Field. "Chicago 3 St. Louis 5 R. 7 2/3" and "1952" are handwritten on the ball. As the factory stampings are no longer visible we examined the 1952 results of games involving the Cubs/Cardinals and also the White Sox/Browns with the September 19 game between the Cubs & Cardinals being the only one that season which ended with a 5-3 score. Mounting hole also present. (74B0098)
