Lot #207:

1952-54 Don Lund H&B Louisville Slugger Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS Authentic)

Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Browns and Detroit Tigers outfielder Don Lund never played a full big league season, but he posted some of the best numbers during his abbreviated career and managed 131 games in the Motor City.

Lund used this H&B Louisville Slugger bat during his time with the Tigers. The 33-ounce, 34.5-inch signature model bat has the model number O1S imprinted on its (small) knob. It matches factory records and exhibits heavy use, heavy ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks and an 18-inch handle crack. There is deadwood on the reverse of the barrel. Lund has autographed the bat in black Sharpie.
