This is an example of a very scarce two year style White Sox hat (1949-50) that has been signed under the bill in vintage ink by Kretlow whose first year with the Sox was 1950 where he played through 1953. There is no size noted on the white leather sweat band and it has the earliest style of Tim McAuliffe tagging we have seen on hats. Aside from a bit of chaffing on the white leather liner, the outside of the hat and the bill remain in near mint condition. A very hard to find style in any condition let alone one of this quality.
