There can't be an abundance of these circa 1950 Philadelphia A's caps to chose from. Offered is a game-worn cap from when the A's called Philly home. The Mitchell & Ness distributer tag is included to the right of the Spalding label. This is important to note as M&N supplied the A's with jerseys during the 1950 season.

This cotton/wool cap showcases extensive use and has moderate cracking/chipping on the leather headband. A Spalding manufacturer's tag is sewn in the headband as is another undecipherable label. No player or number is identified.

According to the MEARS notes section: "This is the very first of this style that we have seen with the air holes and stitching of patch to hat in an aqua color and the very small A."
